Winter Chills Bring Bigger Bills
Bitter wintry conditions are expected to add £30 to energy bills this month alone, as cash-strapped households across Wales continue to battle with freezing temperatures.
Just days before the official start of British Summertime on Sunday, energy advisors say winter has effectively been extended by around a month.
The latest chilly blast for consumers comes as forecasters warn the severe March weather – which caused widespread disruption in North and Mid Wales in recent days and has seen much-needed gas supplies delivered by massive supertanker from Qatar to West Wales – could return in time for Easter.
