Great House Farm – Phase 1
An exciting new development of mixed houses and flats on the edge of Cardiff
Great House Farm exceeds Code 4 without renewables and provides extremely efficient homes …with smaller energy bills.
This was the first phase of development at the Great House Farm site. The scheme comprises of 9 dwellings of differing types – from one bed flats to three bed duplex terraced units.
The dwellings have been carefully arranged to benefit from direct sunlight and views over the village pond.
The building was built using SIPS and a Sedum Roof. Internally there are exhaust air heat pumps and MVHR providing a thermally efficient building envelope.
The homes have private terraces and a shared lawn area giving rise to a very happy community of residents.
We will continue to adopt the highly sustainable ‘recipe’ in the next phase at Great House Farm.

I am extremely pleased with the development. The building, the location, the landscaping, the pond, the birdlife, the quiet, the sound and heat insulation, the internal layout of my apartment and the number, size, height and quality of the windows are all excellent.
